EMDR provides a way for people to free themselves from destructive memories, and it seems to work, even in cases where years of conventional therapy have failed.

Before it would stress me out and cause me GRIEF - now I feel better, less insecure, definitely more confident. IT DOESN'T CONTROL ME ANYMORE . That's the best part. It's still a memory, but one I can deal with. I'll help get the word out. So many people could benefit and from the privacy of their homes.

Three years of regular therapy, zanax, zoloft, etc. didn't help much. I found WebEMDR.com and after the first session knew something was working. After five sessions, most of my depression was gone. No one should go through what I did for ten years. Try this site. At least once.

When one is overwhelmed by an event, one may be unable to process the emotional experience fully. Memories of these events are stored and may later be triggered by similar circumstances. The memories may even intrude upon one's thoughts on their own, sometimes called flashbacks, and may be experienced as physical sensations or strong emotions such as anxiety, stress, or in extreme cases, PTSD.

WebEMDR provides effective online therapy utilizing EMDR (Eye Movement Desenstization and Reprocessing), to heal emotional wounds resulting from disturbing past experiences. Essentially, it erases disturbing memories.

EMDR has successfully been used to treat people with anxiety, stress, and PTSD by reducing the emotional impact of these disturbing experiences. Research shows many people experience immediate reduction of distress after only one session. Others may find additional treatments are needed to achieve optimum results.

EMDR is approved as an effective treatment by the American Psychological Association and the American Psychiatric Association. Recent studies have also shown that victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse may be effectively treated by EMDR as well.

How does EMDR work?

EMDR neutralizes the negative emotions associated with a painful memory by stimulating select portions of the brain with specific eye movements. The result of this technique is that one remembers the events of the memory but feels less discomfort because the emotional distress that accompanied that memory has been eliminated or greatly decreased.
